William Ross is the Co-Founder and CEO of Federato, an AI-driven insurance technology company focused on transforming the underwriting process. Prior to founding Federato, Ross worked across product management, strategy, and corporate development at IBM Watson, with broad exposure to IBM’s AI & Data, Cloud, Health, FinTech, and Blockchain businesses.

Ross earned an M.S. in Climate and Atmospheric Modeling from Stanford University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His research at Stanford explored the application of artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning to wildfire behavior modeling and contributed to research presented at NeurIPS in 2021.

Ross has also worked with CUNY, NYU, and other institutions to advance New York City’s leadership in applied AI across academia and business.
