MATTHEW LOPEZ, MENTORING PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Matthew Lopez, a graduate from CCNY with a Bachelor's in Political Science, possesses a passion for gaming and aims to change perceptions and stigmas surrounding gaming as a tool for personal and professional development. His interest in gaming expanded during the 2020 pandemic, leading him to join the Esports club at CCNY, where he assumed the role of President. Through this club, Matthew became involved in the Gaming Pathways Program, playing a pivotal role in its realization.

Matthew's involvement in community outreach and expansion is crucial in his role at HGS. He is instrumental in strengthening HGS' relationship with gaming, further integrating it into our services within the Mentorship Program and the broader Gaming Pathways Program. Matthew aspires to continue being a part of the Esports and Gaming industry, with his position at HGS equipping him with the professional development skills needed to make a positive impact in the world.
