DORIS B. GONZÁLEZ

PRESIDENT,
NEW YORK STATE HIGHER EDUCATION SERVICES CORPORATION

Doris B. González was appointed Acting President of the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) in March 2026, after previously serving as Executive Vice President since August 2023. In her role as Acting President, Doris oversees the administration of more than 30 New York State financial aid programs, including the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), supporting nearly 300,000 students statewide and managing over $1 billion in financial aid funding.

Prior to joining HESC, Doris served as Director of Delivery Management with Kyndryl Holdings, Inc., a multinational information technology infrastructure services provider. Before her work with Kyndryl, she spent 23 years in numerous leadership roles at IBM Corporation. Alongside her extensive private sector experience, Doris has also held leadership positions with the New York City Board of Education, NYC School Construction Authority, and the New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Born in the Dominican Republic and educated in New York City public schools, Doris received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Baruch College, part of City University of New York. Her work continues to focus on expanding access to higher education and creating opportunities for students across New York State.
