PIXEL STUDIOS: A GAME CAREER EXPLORER is designed to guide middle and high school students through potential career paths within the gaming industry. The player assumes the role of an intern at a fictional game studio, exploring seven different departments (aka career paths): Production, Narrative, Game Design, Programming, Art, Audio, and Marketing. Each of these departments is broken down into four sections: Overview, Skills & Tools, Education, and Collaboration. After reviewing each career path, players are prompted to participate in an interactive mini activity to gain a hands-on sense of what each role entails. Once they have completed the mini activities, they will gain access to a game demo that provides a deeper understanding of what it takes to create a game.

Brandy Coleman will graduate with a Master of Arts in Design and Development of Digital Games from Teachers College, Columbia University.
